Despite its innovative software initiatives, Nothing holds less than one percent of the global smartphone market, according to IDC data. Pei sees the company’s smaller size as an advantage, allowing it to experiment with AI‑centric hardware and software more rapidly than larger competitors. Security remains a central concern; Nothing aims to ensure that the vibrant developer community it hopes to build does not compromise user safety.
