Qodo Raises $70 Million Series B to Boost AI‑Driven Code Verification

Funding Boost for AI‑Powered Code Verification

Qodo, a startup headquartered in New York, has secured a $70 million Series B financing round led by Qumra Capital. The new capital raises the company’s total funding to $120 million and includes participation from a roster of venture firms and individual investors. The infusion is aimed at scaling Qodo’s AI‑driven platform that focuses on code review, testing, and governance.

Addressing the Verification Bottleneck

As AI coding tools generate billions of lines of code each month, developers face a new bottleneck: ensuring that the output works as intended. Qodo’s founder, Itamar Friedman, emphasizes that verification will define the next phase of software development. The platform does more than flag what changed; it assesses how changes impact entire systems, factoring in organizational standards, historical context, and risk tolerance.

Technology and Market Position

Qodo builds AI agents that act as a layer of trust for enterprises accelerating the adoption of tools such as OpenClaw and Claude Code. While many AI review tools concentrate on surface‑level changes, Qodo’s system evaluates deeper logical interactions and cross‑file issues. The company recently ranked No. 1 on Martian’s Code Review Bench, outpacing competitors by more than ten points and delivering a benchmark score of 64.3 percent.

Product Evolution and Customer Adoption

In the past month, Qodo launched Qodo 2.0, a multi‑agent code review system that leads current benchmarks and introduces tools that learn each organization’s definition of code quality. The startup reports active collaborations with major enterprises—including NVIDIA, Walmart, Red Hat, Intuit, and Texas Instruments—as well as high‑growth firms such as Monday.com and JFrog.

Strategic Outlook

Friedman notes that the industry is moving from stateless AI toward stateful systems, describing the shift as a transition from “intelligence to artificial wisdom.” With the new funding, Qodo aims to solidify its role as a trusted verification layer, helping companies manage AI‑generated code more confidently and securely.
