Replit Secures $400 Million Series D, Valued at $9 B
Funding Milestone
Replit disclosed that it has closed a $400 million Series D financing round, bringing the company’s valuation to $9 billion. The round was spearheaded by previous backer Georgian Partners, with participation from a broad slate of venture firms including G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Databricks Ventures.
Additional Backers
Founder and chief executive Amjad Masad also highlighted that high‑profile angel investors Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto are among the supporters of the latest round.
Previous Funding and Growth Trajectory
Earlier in the year, Replit raised $250 million, a round that lifted its valuation to $3 billion. At that time, the company reported that it was on track for $150 million in annualized revenue. While the new round does not include an updated revenue figure, Replit has communicated to Forbes that it aims to achieve $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of the current year.
Strategic Pivot and Market Position
Masad has previously explained that Replit’s rapid ascent followed nine years of intensive development and a strategic pivot away from serving solely professional developers toward a broader audience that includes non‑programmers. This shift is credited with unlocking the company’s recent growth momentum.
Implications for the Tech Landscape
The sizable Series D underscores investor confidence in Replit’s platform, which blends coding education, collaborative development, and cloud‑based execution environments. The infusion of capital is expected to fuel product expansion, user acquisition, and further scaling of its revenue engine as the company pursues its $1 billion ARR target.
