Coursera announced a suite of new artificial‑intelligence features aimed at improving learning outcomes and safeguarding academic integrity. The platform will launch an AI‑driven Role Play tool that lets students practice interview scenarios with customizable personas and receive real‑time feedback. AI‑powered grading will automatically assess code, essays and video responses, while peer‑review scoring is also being enhanced. New Integrity Checks, including AI‑based proctoring and a locking browser, are designed to curb cheating, with reported reductions of misconduct by 95% and plagiarized submissions by 90% since May. Finally, Coursera’s Course Builder now offers AI assistance for educators to design and scale courses more efficiently.
