Apple has released the iOS 26 public beta, introducing its new Liquid Glass visual style across iPhone, iPad and Mac. The update adds a range of user‑focused enhancements such as Hold Assist for call queues, live translation in Phone, Messages and FaceTime, polling in group chats, spam‑filtering for unknown senders, Visual Intelligence search, and a return of Photos tabs. iPadOS 26 brings optional multitasking windows and a refreshed menu bar, while AirPods receive studio‑quality audio recording and remote camera control. Most iPhone models from 2019 onward are eligible, though the XR, XS and XS Max are excluded.
