Apple’s upcoming iOS 26 brings visual upgrades, new translation tools, and refreshed messaging features. Users can check whether their device qualifies for the public beta. All iPhone models announced in 2019 or later—including the second‑generation iPhone SE and newer—are eligible, while the three 2018 models (iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X) are excluded. iPad compatibility spans the third‑generation iPad Pro 12.9‑inch onward, first‑generation iPad Pro 11‑inch, third‑generation iPad Air and newer, eighth‑generation iPad and later, and fifth‑generation iPad mini and newer. The rollout is expected in mid‑September, just before Apple’s annual hardware launch, giving users a chance to test Liquid Glass design, a redesigned Phone app, Live Translate and group polls before the official release.
