OpenAI has acquired Software Applications Incorporated (SAI), the team behind the original Shortcuts tool on Apple platforms. The acquisition brings SAI’s work on Sky, a context‑aware AI interface layer for macOS, into the ChatGPT ecosystem. Financial terms were not disclosed. OpenAI plans to integrate Sky’s deep macOS integration and product expertise into its products, and the three SAI co‑founders—Ari Weinstein, Conrad Kramer, and Kim Beverett—will join the company.
