OpenAI has acquired Software Applications Incorporated (SAI), the team behind the original Shortcuts tool on Apple platforms. The acquisition brings SAI’s work on Sky, a context‑aware AI interface layer for macOS, into the ChatGPT ecosystem. Financial terms were not disclosed. OpenAI announced it has purchased Software Applications Incorporated, the creator of the Mac automation app Sky.
