TCL rolls out new SQD‑Mini and RGB‑Mini LED TVs, pricing starts at $1,200

TCL is widening its high‑end Mini LED portfolio with two SQD‑Mini LED televisions already on sale and a new RGB‑Mini LED model now accepting pre‑orders. The company first unveiled its flagship X11L SQD‑Mini LED at CES 2026, and the latest releases extend that technology across a broader size range.

The QM8L SQD‑Mini LED, available now, comes in 65‑, 75‑, 85‑ and 98‑inch versions. All sizes carry an anti‑reflective panel, up to 4,000 discrete dimming zones and a peak brightness that can reach 6,000 nits after a software update. Dolby Vision 2 support is included, and the TV runs the newest version of Google TV with Gemini integration. Audio is supplied by Bang & Olufsen.

For consumers seeking a slightly smaller screen, the QM7L SQD‑Mini LED is open for pre‑order. It offers an anti‑reflective display with up to 2,100 dimming zones and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. Like its larger sibling, it supports Dolby Vision IQ and features Bang & Olufsen sound and Google TV.

Separately, TCL is entering the RGB‑Mini LED market with the RM9L. Unlike traditional Mini LED panels that use white or blue LEDs filtered through quantum dots, the RGB‑Mini design employs individual red, green and blue LEDs, delivering richer color fidelity. The RM9L includes an anti‑reflective layer, more than 3,800 local dimming zones and up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness. After a software update, it also supports Dolby Vision 2. The TV is equipped with Bang & Olufsen audio and the latest Google TV platform.

Pricing reflects the tiered positioning of the lineup. The 65‑inch QM8L starts at $2,500, the 75‑inch at $3,000, the 85‑inch at $4,000 and the 98‑inch at $6,000. The QM7L’s 55‑inch model begins at $1,200, climbing to $4,000 for the 98‑inch version. The RGB‑Mini RM9L is priced at $8,000 for the 85‑inch model and can reach $30,000 for a 115‑inch display.

All three televisions run the latest Google TV software, offering a unified smart‑TV experience with access to major streaming services and voice control. The inclusion of Gemini, Google’s AI‑driven recommendation engine, promises more personalized content discovery.

Industry analysts view TCL’s push into both SQD‑Mini and RGB‑Mini technologies as a bid to close the gap with premium competitors that have long dominated the high‑end market. By bundling advanced display tech, high‑luminosity panels and premium audio, TCL aims to attract buyers who want cinema‑grade performance without the price tag of legacy luxury brands.

Availability is immediate for the QM8L, while the QM7L and RM9L can be ordered online now with shipments slated for later this year. TCL says it will continue to refine the Mini LED experience through software updates that unlock additional brightness and color capabilities.
