Yann LeCun, the Turing Award‑winning AI researcher who left Meta after 12 years, announced a $1.03 billion seed round for his new venture, Advanced Machine Intelligence Labs (AMI). The funding, the largest European seed round on record, was co‑led by Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital and Bezos Expeditions, with participation from Nvidia, Toyota, Samsung, Temasek and several high‑profile individuals.
