Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Tesla groups have contacted semiconductor equipment giants Applied Materials, Tokyo Electron, Lam Research and Samsung Electronics for price quotes and delivery timelines on tools needed to build a U.S. AI chip fabrication complex dubbed Terafab.
